Robert Taylor Elementary School

Share some of your time with the students at Robert Taylor Elementary School. They are looking for volunteers to come once a week for one hour; you can select the day, time and grade level. We promise once you start volunteering, these students will steal your heart. For more information contact Jessica Alano at 799-8950.

Members and friends of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church & Pre-School are partnering with Sons of Norway Desert Troll Lodge in reaching out to the families of children attending Robert Taylor Elementary School. And you can help!

The following items are needed: lined paper, notebooks, glue sticks, crayons, pencils, pens, paper, socks, underwear, backpacks, pencil/eraser pouches, children's scissors. Children’s clothing items (new or slightly used) also are needed.

Please place your gifts in one of the Robert Taylor School containers located in the church narthex and the pre-school entry.

The goal is to present our gifts to Dr. Janet Dobry, Robert Taylor School Principal (and member of CSLC) during the Desert Troll Lodge’s gathering on Wednesday evening, October 7 – in the Community Hall of Christ the Servant.

LSSN Needs Our Help

The Lutheran Social Services of Nevada food pantry is running low on many items and can use our help. Please drop any non-perishable food items off at the church. At this time, they are only able to receive food donations and Baskenette items. Thank you for your help.

Baby Baskenettes

We can use laundry baskets and pads, small towels, receiving blankets, lotion and shampoo, larger blankets or quilts, disposable diapers (newborn size) and baby bottles with nipples. Please drop your donations off at the church. We try to make 8 baskenettes each month to give to LSSN. We are out of everything, so anything you donate will be used. Gently used baby items are welcome. Christ the Servant has donated 88 baskenettes to LSSN this year.  Thank you for your support of this ministry.

Mexico Mission Trip

Late summer every year we go to Mexico to build 1, 2 or next year 3 or 4 houses in only four days!

Navajo Mission Trip

Some years we go to the Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission to build houses on the Navajo reservation in Arizona.

Family Promise

Twice a year (Christmas week and June) we house homeless families in our classrooms as they work toward independence.
